Tom Robinson in to Kill A Mockingbird

The latest play I will be in is entitled “To Kill a Mockingbird” in which I play Tom Robinson. For those who are familiar with the story Tom is an African American male during the 1930’s who is accused of Raping a white woman; a crime in which he does not commit.
Mentally it’s extremely challenging playing this role and taking myself from a time period in which interracial dating is accepted and putting in the mind frame in which if I look at a Anglo Saxon woman I could face the death penalty. As an actor I thrive on Roles and Characters such as Tom Robinson. I pray you all enjoy the play.
